Wallops Flight Facility

Visiting Virginia Beach won’t be complete without taking a tour into the Wallops Flight Facility. The facility originally built by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, NASA’s predecessor, on 1945 as a site for rocket launching. The facility was later on incorporated to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt in the late 1980’s.

Today, the Wallops Flight Facility is still operated by NASA as a rocket launch site. The best part of it all is that they offer educational and informational facilities as well as a visitor’s center where you and your family can explore the entire area. There are hands-on exhibits and organized activities for kids allowing them to learn all about NASA technology.

If you are in Virginia Beach, never miss to visit the Wallops Flight Facility. This is definitely the best place to spend time with your family through fun, interactive and educational activity. This would also be a great opportunity for your kids to take their interest into scientific discovery. You will surely love this place!
