The Virginia Beach Aquarium is home to hundreds of animals and contains over 800,000 gallons of water in one of the best aquariums in the world. There are many different areas that the Aquarium has to offer. You can explore the Bay & Oceans Pavilion. Here you will see the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay fish in the country as well as see a horseshoe crab. You will see Green Turtles, Loggerhead, sharks, stingrays, and many other ocean and freshwater creatures in this section. There are even Komodo Dragons and rare crocodiles here.
Another popular section of the Aquarium is the Marsh Pavilion. Here you can see river otters, snakes and a host of other marsh-dwelling creatures. The Aquarium also features a Nature Trail where you can explore a bird aviary and see owls in the wild. There are also so many exciting hands-on activities for your family to enjoy as the Aquarium offers over 300 exhibits for you to experience.
